LOMBOK – Talented racer Aldi Satya Mahendra is certain to appear for a full season at the 2024 World Supersport 300 event. This was confirmed by Yamaha as well as to prove tiered development.
“He (Aldi Satya Mahendra, ed) will appear for a full season under the auspices of the BrCorse team, which is also supported by Yamaha Indonesia and Yamaha Motor Europe. This is part of the tiered development of the bLU cRU Pro Racer that we are carrying out,” said Frengky Rusli , Assistant General Manager CS Division PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM).
Furthermore, Frengky revealed that the decision was also made to evaluate the brilliant achievements achieved by Aldi Satya Mahendra in the R3 bLU cRU European Championship and World Supersport 300 in 2023,
“We hope he can sharpen his achievements, further hone his skills and gain experience competing in world championships. Yamaha Extremely Max, Yamaha is getting ahead of Full Gaspoll,” he continued.
This could happen because of the collaboration between YIMM and Yamaha Motor Europe (YME). Later, the racer from Yogyakarta will race with the BrCorse team.
Aldi Satya Mahendra didn’t need to adapt for too long with BrCorse in the 2024 WorldSSP 300, because he had become a wild card racer in 2023. In fact, Aldi Satya Mahendra succeeded in getting an extraordinary achievement by winning in race 2 of the Most Autodrom Circuit, Czech Republic at the end of July Then.
The racer trained by Yamaha Racing Indonesia also succeeded in showing his best skills and successfully competed with racers from other countries. Riding the YZF-R3, which is Yamaha’s flagship motorbike in the sport fairing segment, Aldi Satya Mahendra also successfully reached the first podium at the R3 bLU cRU European Championship 2023. Appearing for a full season, the 17 year old racer came out as runner-up by collecting 177 points and only four points away from Emiliano Ercolani who came out as champion.
After it was officially announced that he would appear at WorldSSP 300 2024, Aldi Satya Mahendra also admitted that he was very happy and proud of his career because he was able to reach the international level. He also hopes to get maximum results by using a motorbike made in Indonesia.
“Of course I am very happy to be able to develop my racing career with Yamaha, from the national level to reaching the world. It is a matter of pride for me personally, and of course the challenges that I will face by trying to achieve achievements while bringing Indonesia’s name on the international stage. Hopefully I can get maximum results from this championship, especially using an R3 motorbike made in Indonesia,” he said.
