The bad news came from one of SEVENTEEN’s personnel, Jeonghan. The man born in 1995 was required to go on hiatus due to an ankle injury.
Pledis Entertainment as Jeonghan’s agency explained that the artist had just undergone surgery due to the injury he suffered.
“Jeonghan underwent surgery today for an ankle injury. The operation went well,” explained Pledis in his official statement to South Korean media.
Furthermore, Pledis also stated that Jeonghan could not participate in the SEVENTEEN Follow To Japan and Follow To Asia concerts which were held in Fukuoka, Bangkok, Bulacan and Macau.
“Jeonghan will not be able to promote at this time, including the Follow To Japan and Follow To Asia concerts held in Fukuoka, Bangkok, Bulacan and Macau,” he added.
Pledis is currently prioritizing Jeonghan’s health and carrying out rehabilitation regarding this matter. Therefore, it is difficult for Jeonghan to follow SEVENTEEN’s schedule.
Apart from that, Pledis Entertainment also asks for understanding from fans so they can accept this.
“We believe that it is in the artist’s best interest that we prioritize his recovery and rehabilitation above all else at this time. Therefore, it will be difficult for Jeonghan to participate in official activities for now,” he stressed.
Pledis also promised to continue to support Jeonghan’s treatment and recovery so that he can recover as before.
“We will do our best to support Jeonghan’s treatment and recovery so that he can meet fans again as his healthiest self,” he concluded.
