NEW YORK – The mystery of the disappearance of a small tomato after being harvested by NASA astronaut Frank Rubio in space has finally been solved. The tomato has now been discovered by another NASA astronaut, Jasmin Moghbeli.
For your information, this small 1 inch tomato was previously harvested by Frank Rubio last March on the International Space Station (ISS). But when he was about to be bitten, he slipped from Rubio’s grasp and disappeared.
The incident later became a big joke for Rubio in the fall. He himself admitted that he was very annoyed because the Red Robin tomato could not be found even though he had been looking for it for hours.
Rubio even shared his frustration with the public via live broadcast and his story of losing a tomato in space became a joke until it was finally found after 8 months.
“Our good friend Frank Rubio, who (has) gone home, has long been blamed for eating tomatoes. But we can exonerate him. We found the tomatoes,” said Moghbeli, quoted from Live Science, Sunday (10/12/2023).
Unfortunately Moghbeli did not specify where the tomatoes were found and in what condition. What is clear is that the mystery of the disappearance of the tomatoes harvested by Rubio in the Veg-05 research has been solved and is a relief.
