Working mothers are certainly familiar with the Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP). However, did you know that there are new regulations regarding NPWP?
Yes, the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) through the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) requests that all taxpayer participants immediately match their Personnel Identification Number (NIK) with their NPWP, Mother. Regarding this rule, all taxpayers are given until December 31, 2023.
To be clearer, mothers who have not yet matched their NIK and NPWP can look again at Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 112 of 2022. There are a number of consequences if you do not immediately carry out the matching.

Consequences of not matching NIK and NPWP
Director of Extension, Services and Public Relations (P2 Humas) DJP, Dwi Astuti, said that the introduction of NIK as NPWP would have an impact on DJP services. In the future, DJP services can only be accessed with NIK for domestic individual taxpayers.
So, for those who haven’t combined the two, they will have problems accessing tax services that require a NPWP. Some of them include reporting SPT and so on.
“For individual taxpayers who have not carried out NIK-NPWP matching at the time of full implementation, they will later have problems accessing tax services, including administration services of other parties that require NPWP, because all these services will use NIK as NPWP,” said Dwi, quoted from detikcom, Thursday (7/12/2023).
Furthermore, his party continues to urge taxpayers to immediately match their NIK with NIPW. The aim, of course, is to make it easier for taxpayers to access tax services later.
“For this reason, the DJP always provides education and urges the public to immediately match their NIK as their NPWP via the tax.go.id website, so that it is easier to access tax services when they are fully implemented later,” added Dwi.
How to match NIK to NPWP
Check out the steps below:
Go to the DJP Online page on the jasa.go.id site. First, you log in by entering your NPWP, along with your password and the available security code (captcha). After successfully logging in, go to the main menu ‘Profile’. The ‘Profile’ menu will show the validity status of the main data that you have, whether it ‘Needs to be Updated’ or ‘Needs to be Confirmed’. This status indicates that you need to validate your NIK. On the ‘Profile’ menu page there will also be ‘Main Data’ and you will find the NIK/NPWP column (16 digits). In this column, you must enter your NIK which has 16 digits
