Suara.com – Presidential candidate (candidate) number 3, Ganjar Pranowo, made a pilgrimage to the grave of Al-Habib Idrus bin Salim Al-Jufri or better known as Sayyid Idrus bin Salim Al-Jufri or Old Teacher in the Alkhairaat Mosque complex, Jalan Sis Aljufri , Palu City, Central Sulawesi, Monday (4/12/2023) evening.
A descendant of the Old Master, Habib Hasan bin Idrus Al Habsyi, said that the pilgrimage made by Ganjar was a form of respect for Muslim figures who contributed to the Indonesian religion and state.
“If they come, it means respecting people who have been elders, who have been recognized by the state,” said Habib Hasan after leading the pilgrimage with Ganjar.
Habib Hasan then explained that many officials, scholars and even the community make a pilgrimage to the grave of the Old Master to emulate the good values that have been done during his life.
On this occasion, he prayed that Ganjar would receive blessings.
“Every head of state or any candidate, each of them wants to seek blessings when they come here. Hopefully they will get blessings,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ganjar admitted that he was happy to be able to make a pilgrimage to Muslim figures who during their lifetime dedicated themselves to the people and nation, both in religious and educational and social ways.
“I think if we start from the world of education, God willing, it will be good. The human resources are superior, they are independent and that is part of the message that people will definitely feel they are getting good benefits from. We have to learn from our master,” he said.
Ganjar stated that the foundation of education as a support for improving human resources has been carried out since ancient times.
Therefore, Ganjar is committed to encouraging the improvement of human resources at all levels of Indonesian society.
“It turns out that many people or scholars, figures at that time had already thought about this. So that more access could be given to citizens to get a good education. One of them is here. It’s quite complete, even up to university ,” he said.
