TANGERANG – Deputy Chairman II of Binpres PB POBSI, Fadil Nasution motivated the athletes who had not yet passed the qualifications for billiards for the XXI National Sports Week (PON) 2024 Aceh-North Sumatra. These athletes are asked not to give up, because there are still opportunities at other events.
The qualification for PON XXI 2024 Aceh-North Sumatra for billiards officially closed on November 15. A total of 3 cities contributed the most athletes to the activities held next year.
Fadil said that in the future there would still be events prepared by PB POBSI led by the General Chair, Hary Tanoesodibjo.
“There are still opportunities for future events such as the POBSI circuit on December 4-7, the 6th series of which will be held in Makasar,” said Fadil when met on the sidelines of the event at Labewa Cue Sport, Tangerang, some time ago.
“Then we still have the opportunity for the international Indonesia which will be held on 20-25 at Park Hyatt Jakarta, a world championship with a prize of IDR 1.6 billion,” continued Fadil.
Meanwhile, on the same occasion, Fadil conveyed congratulations to all the contingents who had qualified their athletes for PON XXI 2024 Aceh-North Sumatra which will be held on 8-19 September 2024 in Medan for the billiards sport.
According to Fadil, the three cities sending athletes to next year’s competition are West Java (15 quotas), DKI Jakarta (11 quotas) and Central Java (10 quotas).
“West Java won 4 gold, 4 silver, 5 bronze medals. DKI Jakarta 2 gold, 3 silver, 5 bronze and East Java 2 gold, 2 silver, 5 bronze,” he said.
Furthermore, he did not forget to thank all sponsors and parties who had participated in making the qualifying activities for PON XXI 2024 Aceh-North Sumatra (North Sumatra) a success in the billiards sport.
