GAZA – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Retno Marsudi stated that Indonesia condemns in the strongest terms the Israeli attack on the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza which killed a number of civilians.

Retno said that all countries, especially those that have close relations with Israel, must use all their influence and abilities to urge Israel to stop its atrocities.

I myself have contacted UNRWA in Gaza, to ask about the situation at the Indonesian Hospital and received the answer that UNRWA cannot make contact with anyone at the Hospital. Retno also revealed that her party had also tried to contact WHO and the International Red Cross but had not received an answer.
“I will continue to try to contact various parties to obtain information regarding the Indonesian Hospital and the safety of the 3 Indonesian citizens.
