Suara.com – General Chair of the United Village Movement, Asri Anas, revealed that one of the presidential or presidential candidates participating in the 2024 presidential election was trying to approach village heads (Kades) to get support.
In fact, the presidential candidate was accused of giving transportation money amounting to IDR 1 million to the village heads in one meeting.
Asri conveyed this on the sidelines of a national gathering of village officials at the Indonesia Arena, GBK, Newsdelivers.com, Sunday (19/11/2023).
“I’m sorry, there is a presidential candidate who finances the village head’s facilitation, transportation Rp. 1 million for every meeting,” said Asri.
Asri did not mention who the presidential candidate in question was. However, according to him, the presidential candidate provided transportation money worth IDR 1 million with the obligation to make a support video.
“If friends need videos, there are also videos. Village assistants are obliged to make videos supporting presidential candidates and parties, of course,” he said.
Invite Gibran
In this gathering event, the United Village Movement also invited Vice Presidential Candidate or Cawapres Gibran Rakabuming Raka. However, until 15.00 WIB, the eldest son of President Joko Widodo or Jokowi had not arrived.
According to Suara.com monitoring, at the location several elites from the political party the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM), which supports Prabowo-Gibran, were present at the location. One of them is the General Chair of the Crescent Star Party (PBB) Yusril Ihza Mahendra.
Apart from that, the Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Gerindra Party, Mochamad Iriawan alias Iwan Bule, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Gerindra Party, Andre Rosiade, Chairman of the Bapilu of the Golkar Party, Nusron Wahid, and activist 98 and former PDI-P politician ( PDIP) Budiman Sudjatmiko.
Then also present was the Chairman of the DPP of the Indonesian Village Government Association (APDESI) Surta Wijaya.
Asri claimed he only invited Gibran because he and Prabowo were a presidential and vice presidential candidate pair who could accommodate the aspirations of the village heads.
Even so, Asri stated that his party would not explicitly declare or express support for Prabowo-Gibran. Because according to village regulations, being a state civil servant (ASN) is prohibited.
“You don’t have to declare it. Friends know better how it works,” he concluded.
