Suara.com – The job market is predicted to become more competitive in the Era of Society 5.0, however, college graduates are asked not to be afraid to face this era.
The Secretary General of the Ministry of Manpower, Anwar Sanusi, gave three messages to the academic community and university graduates in facing the Society 5.0 era. First, keep motivating yourself. The Society 5.0 era makes the world of work increasingly competitive. Therefore, high graduates must motivate themselves, one of which is by making everything they achieve part of the life process.
“Win-lose, success-failure are normal, but the most important thing is don’t give up and don’t focus on failure. “Failing is part of the learning process and success will come if we continue to try and learn from failure,” he said when delivering a Ministerial Lecture at Muhammadiyah University Ponorogo with the theme Opportunities and Challenges of the World of Work in the Era of Society 5.0, Thursday (16/11/2023).
Second, keep learning. According to him, graduating from college is the beginning for someone to learn to implement what they have learned while studying at college. “Continue to learn to develop your own competencies and this will increase your opportunities and success in the future,” he said.
Lastly, build a network. According to Anwar, Society 5.0 integrates technology and humans, including things related to humans such as culture. On the one hand, Society 5.0 is considered to make relations between people more distant as relationships and socialization between one person and another become easier.
However, on the other hand, relationships between people are also getting easier as a result of technological and information transformation in this era. According to him, this is what must be captured in order to build networks to support future developments.
“So building a network is very important, because success is not only determined because you are smart, because you are great, but how we can build a network,” he explained.
As a form of adaptation to the Society 5.0 era, Anwar said that his party had also attempted to transform digital-based employment services, including the SIAPKerja system. The system integrates 4 main services, namely Skillhub (competency improvement service through vocational training); Sertihub (competency certification service); Karirhub (labor market information service); and Bizhub (entrepreneurship development service).
