Suara.com – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) officially detained the Acting Regent of Sorong, Yan Piet Mosso and five other people after being caught in a sting operation or OTT last Sunday (13/11/2023).
Based on Suara.com monitoring on Tuesday (14/11/2023), Yan Piet Mosso and five suspects were seen wearing orange KPK prisoner vests with their hands handcuffed. They were brought to be exhibited in public, during a press conference at the KPK’s Red and White Building, Newsdelivers.com.
In this case, Yan et al will be detained for the first 20 days, starting from Tuesday (14/11/2023) at the Detention Center (Rutan KPK).
Head of the KPK News Department, Ali Fikri, previously revealed the five people who were caught by the KPK OTT last Sunday.
The five people are three Sorong Regency officials and two inspectors from the Southwest Papua Financial Audit Agency (BPK).
“So far, several people have been arrested by the KPK team, including 3 Sorong Regency officials and 2 BPK examiners representing Southwest Papua Province,” said Ali in his statement received by Suara.com, Monday (13/11/2023) yesterday.
Ali said that the OTT was carried out by KPK investigators on suspicion of corruption based on findings in the BPK Investigation for Specific Purposes for the West Papua Province region.
“On suspicion of corruption conditioning the findings in the BPK’s Specific Purpose Audit for the Southwest Papua Province region for FY 2023,” said Ali.
