SOLO – The Uzbekistan U-17 national team will face Canada U-17 on the second matchday of Group B of the 2023 U-17 World Cup. The match will be presented at the Manahan Stadium, Solo, Monday (13/11/2023) at 19.00 WIB.
The duel between Uzbekistan U-17 versus Canada U-17 is predicted to be interesting. The reason is, both teams certainly have the same target, namely achieving victory. Remember, the two teams both suffered minor results on the first matchday of Group B of the 2023 U-17 World Cup.
The White Wolves youth squad – the nickname of the Uzbekistan National Team – suffered a crushing 0-3 defeat to Mali U-17. It was seen in this match that Jamoliddin Rakhmatullaev’s team had quite a difficult time reducing the aggressive play launched by the Mali U-17 players.
With this minor score, of course now Uzbekistan U-17 is aiming for victory in the match against Canada U-17. Although this is not an easy matter considering that the opponent is one of the strong teams from the CONCACAF zone.
The Canada U-17 national team is also certainly on a mission to recover after losing 0-2 to Spain U-17 on its first matchday. In that match, they had to play with 10 players after Alessandro Biello was given a red card.
Practically, they couldn’t field one of their flagship midfielders in the match against Uzbekistan U-17. However, there are still other names such as Aidan Fong who can be relied on.
In terms of meeting records, Canada U-17 has never met Uzbekitstan U-17. So this condition will make the match for the two teams even more interesting because it is the first time they are meeting each other.
Winning results are a must for both Uzbekistan U-17 and Canada U-17. Because with a win, their hopes of qualifying for the last 16 phase will be even more open.
Currently, both teams have not collected any points on the Group B standings. The Uzbekistan U-17 national team is in the last position, aka fourth, while Canada U-17 is one strip above it. The top of the standings is Mali U-17, followed by Spain U-17.
