However, the cleanliness aspect of the broadcast is in the spotlight of netizens. Many criticized the players for not wearing cooking aprons and even chatting without wearing masks while preparing kimbap.
The Unexpected Business 3 team then apologized for the inconvenience to the audience. They explained that this was not the fault of the Unexpected Business 3 players.
“Because ‘Unexpected Business 3’ runs a restaurant and a kimbab corner at the same time, we should really pay attention to cleanliness, but there are many shortcomings such as the lack of use of masks which cause concern for the audience,” said the production team on Friday (10/11), quoting AllKPop.
“We sincerely apologize regarding this matter, and we would like to inform you that this is entirely the production team’s fault,” he said.
The Unexpected Business 3 team admitted their mistake. However, they explained that the production team and actors had actually tried to meet the hygiene standards that apply on the shooting location.
“All of the content on this season was filmed in the United States, so we worked hard to strictly comply with complex local regulations and hygiene laws. However, we think we missed something fundamental in this process,” he explained.
“In addition, due to the nature of the broadcast which must summarize events in a short time, we were unable to convey the actors’ efforts regarding hygiene conditions properly, for which we regret and apologize,” he concluded.
