Ahead of the 2023 U-17 World Cup, Jehan Pahlevi says the Indonesian U-17 National Team still has many shortcomings
JAKARTA – The 2023 U-17 World Cup is only a matter of days away. Midfielder for the U-17 Indonesian National Team (Timnas), Jehan Pahlevi, said that the Garuda Asia squad must further improve its preparations because there are still many shortcomings.
Yes, the U-17 World Cup is only a matter of days away. The event is scheduled to take place from 10 November to 2 December 2023. There are four venues that will be used for this prestigious event, namely Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Manahan Stadium (Solo), Si Jalak Harupat Stadium (Bandung), and Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium (Surabaya).
The Indonesian U-17 national team is in Group A with Ecuador, Morocco and Panama. The team led by Bima Sakti will play all their group stage matches at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya, East Java.
Considering that the 2023 U-17 World Cup is only a matter of days away, Jehan also reminded the players to further improve their preparations. The Persija Jakarta player hopes that the U-17 Indonesian National Team can patch up the shortcomings that still exist even though training has gone according to the program.
“Preparations must be improved, such as physical and so on. “Because there are still many shortcomings in the team which of course can still be improved,” explained Jehan, quoted from the official Persija Jakarta website, Monday (6/11/2023).
Meanwhile, Nabil Ashura said that the preparations for the Indonesian U-17 National Team had been maximized. The player who also defends Persija said that the Garuda Asia squad had undergone training ranging from tactics to set-pieces. All of this continues to be finalized so that they can perform perfectly at the 2023 U-17 World Cup.
“Preparations have been maximized. We have been practicing as a team, such as how to play tactically and how to defend and attack. “We also have set-piece training too,” said Nabil.
Ecuador will be the first opponent for the Indonesian U-17 National Team on Friday (10/11/2023). After that, the Bima Sakti troops will continue their struggle against Panama on Monday (11/13/2023). Then the Garuda Asia squad will make their final battle in the group stage against Morocco on Thursday (16/11/2023).
