Cases of bullying among elementary school children still continue to occur, Mother. Most recently, a public elementary school (SDN) student in Tambun Selatan, Bekasi, with the initials F, had to have his leg amputated after being bullied by his friends.
“The amputation was last Thursday at Dharmais Hospital,” said F’s attorney, Mila Cheah, to CNNIndonesia, Wednesday (2/11) evening.
Mila explained that the incident started when F was pushed down by one of her friends during break time in February 2023.

At that time, F, who was still in grade 6, was invited by around five of his friends to buy snacks near the school canteen.
While he was walking casually and joking around, one of his friends tripped his leg or slid F until he fell on his stomach. F’s knees and hands were also injured.
“After he fell, instead of being helped, F was bullied by other friends, including the perpetrator. ‘Ah, you’re stupid and just cry like that. Watch out if you talk to your mother. You’re mother’s child’,” said Mila.
F then crawled and stood up on his own to look for ice cubes at the nearest shop. He used the ice cubes to compress his injured feet and hands.
After that, F returned to class. However, F was again bullied by his friend. After school, F did not tell his mother what had happened. Because, F is afraid of threats from his friends.
“F didn’t get a snack, he went back to class. In class he was actually bullied instead of being helped or something. F went home and didn’t say anything to his mother because his friends had threatened him,” he said.
A few days later, F felt pain in his leg. After being persuaded by his mother, Diana, F also told about the incident he experienced.
Diana then compressed F’s feet with warm water to relieve the pain in her child’s feet. However, the pain in F’s leg never healed.
Diana took F to a hospital not far from her residence. After an examination, F was diagnosed with an infection in the foot.
“After that, F went to school using a cane. Even after using the cane, his friends still bullied him. It was like what grandfathers are like. In the end, F didn’t want to go to school,” said Mila.
