Suara.com – Head of the DKI Newsdelivers.com Environmental Service, Asep Kuswanto asked each buffer area around the capital city to take part in holding emission test ticket raids. The DKI Provincial Government has also carried out emission test raids since today, Wednesday (1/11/2023).
According to Asep, in order to increase the effectiveness of emission tests, the role of the surrounding areas is needed. This is because the vehicles that pass through Newsdelivers.com every day do not only come from the capital city.
“Indeed, the Environmental Service, in collaboration with the Ministry of LHK (Environment and Forestry), has appealed to the city governments around Newsdelivers.com, Bodetabek, to also do the same thing as the DKI Provincial Government,” said Asep on Jalan Perintis Independen, Pulo Gadung, East Newsdelivers.com.
According to him, data on vehicles that have carried out emissions tests has been integrated into the Emission Test Application System (Si Umi). Regional governments around Newsdelivers.com can access Si Umi to find out which vehicles have passed the emissions test.
“So all workshops in Jabodetabek are expected to be affiliated with the Si Umi application system. So that Newsdelivers.com Lhar vehicles can be guaranteed to enter Newsdelivers.com with good emission quality,” he said.
Apart from that, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry has gathered Heads of Environment Departments throughout Jabodetabek to intensify emission tests on residents. It is hoped that after these activities are carried out simultaneously, it will be able to reduce air pollution in Newsdelivers.com.
“So that on land outside Newsdelivers.com that enters Newsdelivers.com, the quality of emissions is better maintained,” he explained.
Emission Test Raid
Previously, the DKI Newsdelivers.com Provincial Government together with Polda Metro Jaya again carried out emission test ticketing raids in five locations since Wednesday (1/11). As a result, as many as 57 vehicles were netted during this active law enforcement operation.
Head of the DKI Newsdelivers.com Environmental Service, Asep Kuswanto, said that on the first day of the ticketing, officers noted that hundreds of vehicles were raided. They were asked to carry out emissions tests by officers using tools provided on site.
“A total of 257 vehicles underwent on-the-spot emission tests. In total, 57 vehicles were ticketed because they did not pass the emissions test. “The details are 20 four-wheeled vehicles and 37 two-wheeled vehicles,” Asep told reporters.
He said that so far his party has been intensively conducting outreach to the public regarding the obligation to test emissions. Last September, his party also carried out similar activities in early September.
“Since 2021, the DKI Newsdelivers.com Provincial Government has continued to intensify the socialization of emission test obligations in order to improve air quality,” said Asep.
Apart from that, he also said that public education regarding the obligation to test emissions has been carried out by DLH using various methods and approaches.
“Starting from the Free Emission Test program, the Grand Emission Test simultaneously in three provinces, the Emission Test Week which involved more than 500 workshops in Newsdelivers.com, to the training of emission test instructors in three provinces,” said Asep.
Two-wheeled vehicles that are ticketed are subject to a fine of IDR 250 thousand, while 4-wheeled vehicles are ticketed IDR 500 thousand. The amount of the ticket fine is regulated in accordance with Article 285 Paragraph 1 and Article 276 of Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation (LLAJ).
The fines imposed on four-wheelers amount to IDR 10 million. Meanwhile, for two wheels it is IDR 19,750 million.
Meanwhile, 133 four-wheeled vehicles passed the emissions test with a percentage of 84 percent of those raided and 122 two-wheeled vehicles passed the emissions test or 76 percent.
The five emission test raid points that were held today were Jalan Perintis Independen, the north side of Carefour Lebak Bulus, Jalan Lodan, Jalan Pemuda and Jalan Puri Outer Ring.
