Are you a BCA customer? Check your balance immediately, because PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) will automatically close customer accounts with a balance of IDR 0 starting tomorrow, November 1 2023.
“To avoid having your BCA account closed automatically, carry out transactions and save funds according to the minimum balance,” wrote an announcement on the official BCA website, quoted on Tuesday (31/10/2023).
If a BCA customer’s account is inactive for 12 consecutive months, the balance is IDR 0, and there are no transactions, the account will be closed automatically. In the previous provisions, a new account would be closed if there were no transactions for 18 consecutive months, it was inactive, and the balance was IDR 0.

If the customer does not want his account to be closed automatically, the customer must at least carry out transactions and save funds according to the minimum balance.
These changes to provisions apply to the following types of BCA accounts:

A BCA account that has been closed will automatically no longer be able to be used by the owner, which means customers cannot carry out banking transactions using that account.
Then, a dead BCA account cannot be used to receive fund transfers from any bank. Transfer transactions to closed BCA accounts will be automatically canceled and the funds will be returned to the fund source account.
