Suara Denpasar – Chairman of the ASFA Foundation and Deputy Chairman of DMI, Komjen Pol (Ret.) Dr. Syafruddin Kambo, met with the Secretary General of the World Muslim League, Syaikh Dr. Muhammad Abdul Karim Al-Isa, at his office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Tuesday (31/10). This meeting focused on a number of important issues involving the Islamic world.
The two figures discussed global peace, education and humanity, with special emphasis on plans for holding the World Conference of Muslim Scholars.
This conference will be attended by figures from various ethnicities and religions from various parts of the world.
Shaykh Al-Isa emphasized the role of Indonesia, as a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, as an example of success in managing diversity and creating harmony in the lives of its people.

Haji Syafruddin also appreciated Rabithah’s role in efforts to maintain world peace and a number of cross-cultural collaborations.
Both figures agreed on the importance of cooperation to accelerate the development of superior human resources within the Muslim community, especially in Indonesia.
Haji Syafruddin, who is also Vice President of the Malay World of the Islamic World, has traveled to Egypt and Saudi Arabia with a mission to promote peace and brotherhood.
The day before this meeting, he was at Al-Azhar University in Cairo, where he gave the keynote speech at an international student graduation ceremony, along with scholars and professors.
This meeting was also attended by the Secretary General of the Gontor Alumni Islamic Boarding School Forum, KH. Anang Rikza, MA., Ph.D; Deputy Secretary General of MUI, Dr. Hasan Ali Bahar; DMI Deputy Secretary General, KH. Anizar Mashhadi, SS, and Executive Secretary of the ASFA Foundation, Pangeran Arsyad, Lc.
