Islahuzzaman coach Nur Yadin said that the chances of three boccia athletes qualifying for the next round are quite big. This can be seen from the winning points obtained by the three athletes.
“God willing, our athletes can pass the group qualifications, coincidentally we already know the enemy’s strength map, especially in Southeast Asia,” said Islah, Islahuzzaman Nur Yadin’s nickname, in an official statement from NPC Indonesia.
Islah said that five Indonesian boccia players have the potential to play impressively in AiPG Hangzhou 2022. The opportunity for a medal is also expected to come from Muhamad Afrizal Syafa in the men’s BC1 individual number.
“The opportunity is there, because the target is one bronze, so hopefully we can rise to the top. The opportunity is in the BC1 class for Afrizal and the team,” said Islah.
Meanwhile, female boccia athlete, Handayani, expressed her joy at being able to perform optimally in the first match of the group qualifying round. He will give his best performance in the hope of climbing the AiPG Hangzhou 2022 podium.
“Thank God, I am very happy that I was able to win the opening match. Hopefully tomorrow I can perform well again, because the challenges will definitely be bigger so I have to focus,” said Handayani.
