Suara.com – The Indonesian Audit Committee Association (IKAI) is holding the 2023 National Audit Committee Conference with the theme “Guarding the Company’s Sustainability and Growth Through Supervision and Risk Control”.
The event, which was attended by the Secretary of the Ministry of BUMN, Rabin Indrajad Hattari and the Chief Executive of the Supervision of Capital Markets, Derivative Finance and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Carbon Exchange, Inarno Djajadi, discussed the risk challenges faced by organizations in achieving sustainable growth.
“The implementation of good governance can open up better access to capital, a wider workforce, and wider opportunities for development in domestic and international markets,” said Secretary of the Ministry of BUMN, Rabin Indrajad Hattari, written on Friday (20/10/2023) .
Furthermore, Inarno Djajadi as a representative from the OJK in his speech emphasized the importance of the role of the Audit Committee in contributing to the development of governance of an issuer.

“The role of the Audit Committee is important for investors to ensure that the financial reports submitted are correct and trustworthy information,” he said.
The focus of this National Conference is to discuss the key role of the Audit Committee, especially in overseeing the company’s sustainability and growth, as well as to provide an overview of the relationship between sustainability and growth and risk control.
This conference is divided into 2 (two) main sessions. The first session discussed the theme “guarding business sustainability through managing and supervising corporate risks”, while the second session discussed the theme “guarding corporate growth through monitoring and managing the risks of developing business portfolios”.
The speakers who attended came from various backgrounds and competencies, namely Amin Sunaryadi as Chair of the Tax Supervisory Committee, Heryawan as EVP Strategic Risk Management, Finance and Human Capital of the Risk Management Directorate of PT PLN (Persero), and Bangkit Kuncoro as Risk Transformation Consulting Ernst & Young Indonesia for the First Session moderated by Maliki H. Santosa as Chair of the IKAI Supervisory Board.
The second session of the conference presented Emma Sri Martini as Finance Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Hendang Tanusdjaja as General Chair of the Indonesian Institute of Public Accountants, and Triono Soedirdjo from PwC Indonesia, moderated by Riza Permadi as Independent Commissioner of PT KAI (Persero).

On the same occasion, IKAI also launched the Audit Committee Handbook as the latest guide which is expected to strengthen the role of the Audit Committee in risk supervision.
