Suara.com – PDIP Secretary General, Hasto Kristiyanto, believes that the Constitutional Court (MK) judges will maintain their statesmanlike attitude. This follows ahead of the decision on the lawsuit regarding the age limit for presidential and vice presidential candidates which will be delivered by the Constitutional Court on Monday 16 October.
This was conveyed by Hasto after being asked ahead of the Constitutional Court’s decision regarding the age limit for presidential and vice presidential candidates and in the midst of the issue of Gibran Rakabuming Raka becoming Prabowo Subianto’s vice presidential candidate.
“Yes, we believe that Constitutional Court judges must hold a statesmanlike attitude, prioritizing the interests of the nation and state,” said Hasto when met at the TPN GP Office, High End MNC Building, Newsdelivers.com, Wednesday (11/10/2023).

“Many voices from the public have been expressed to protect the dignity of the Constitutional Court,” he said.
“We believe that these voices were heard, because of our experience when facing an authoritarian government, 32 years of the New Order, when the people’s voices were not heard, what emerged was moral strength,” he continued.
For this reason, he believes that the Constitutional Court will also listen to all the aspirations expressed by the people before issuing a decision regarding the lawsuit regarding the minimum age limit for presidential and vice presidential candidates.
“So we believe that the Constitutional Court will also listen to all the aspirations voiced by the people, including what is hidden. But what is more important is the constitutional content that Constitutional Court judges must have a statesmanlike attitude,” he concluded.
Ahead of the Constitutional Court’s decision, there was a lot of talk about the pun on the Constitutional Court becoming the Family Court. It is known that the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) Anwar Usman is President Jokowi’s brother-in-law, or none other than Gibran Rakabuming Raka’s uncle.
