Actress Han Hyo Joo attended the 28th Busan International Film Festival ‘Actor’s House’ event which was held at the KNN building, Haeundae-gu, Busan on Saturday (7/10).
Han Hyo Joo plays Lee Mi Hyun, a mother with superpowers in the series Moving which airs on Disney+ Hotstar.
In this event, Han Hyo Joo said that she was not confident when she was offered the role of a high school student’s mother. However, he admits that he prefers challenging work to easy work.
“I was 33-34 years old when I was first offered to act in Moving. I wasn’t confident because I thought I was too young to play the role of a high school student’s mother,” she said.
“I like to choose the difficult path and challenge myself rather than the easy work,” he continued.
The 1987-born actress also admitted that she couldn’t sleep well because she was afraid of being judged every time Moving released the latest episode.
“It’s scary to be judged every time my drama (Moving) comes out. I can’t sleep well because I’m nervous before Moving is released.” said Han Hyo Joo.
“Fortunately, when it was released, the audience gave it praise. I just hoped not to be criticized. However, I almost cried because I was grateful for the praise.” he continued.
Han Hyo Joo revealed that her mother was her inspiration when she was playing the character Lee Mi Hyun.
“I thought I could play Lee Mi Hyun while thinking about my mother, because I have never been a mother,” she said.
“My mother devoted herself to her children and lived for her family, just like mothers at that time,” he added.
The beautiful 36-year-old actress was touched when her mother praised her acting in the drama Moving.
“I watched the last three episodes of Moving in the cinema, and my mother was sitting next to me, my mother is a firm and clear person, but she said ‘good’ after it was all over. I was touched,” he concluded.
