The Indonesian Karate Martial Arts Academy (ASKI) continues to encourage the improvement of the competence of its karate students by fulfilling an invitation from the Karatenomichi World Federation (KWF) to take part in the 10th KWF World Conference in the form of the Shihankai Special International Seminar and World Cup 2023 on 9-15 October in Tokyo, Japan.
ASKI is a member of the Indonesian Karate-DO Sports Federation (FORKI) and currently has around 11,000 karateka members divided from 32 provinces, where in an effort to increase the competence and achievements of its members, ASKI continues to strive to increase the organization’s capacity to be able to provide the widest possible platform. extends to all members so that they have many opportunities to improve and achieve both on the national and international levels.
This is reflected in ASKI’s membership in the international karate organization, namely the Karatenomichi World Federation (KWF), resulting in the formation of KWF Indonesia. Through the momentum of the 10th KWF World Conference, ASKI/KWF IndonesiaI sent 23 karateka consisting of the Chair of the Teacher Council and Representatives of Teacher Council Members, Central Management and Athletes, namely Marisi Zainuddin Sihotang, Nanang Kadriansyah, Syahril Osen, Agus Suwardi, Irfan Kamaluddin, Aryani Cipta Dewi, Sutrisno Iwantono, Handoko Nindya Wardono, Bogan Waroto, Tri Nugroho, David Aldino, Andi Kotto, Rifkah Angela, Puji Rahayu, Aunillah Muhammad, Herman Sudrajat, Achmad Rivai Gazali, Iqbal Fadori, Bintang Wicaksono, Muh.Albarra, Muh. Ghathaf, Paundra Azka and Elcivic Sagarayn to take part in Seminars, Training, Tests and KWF World Championship activities.
“This is the first time KWF Indonesia has participated in this activity, hopefully the karateka will be able to give the best results and make the Indonesian nation proud on the international stage,” said the Chair of the ASKI-Marisi Teachers’ Council Zainuddin Sihotang in a press statement, Monday (9/10/2023).
