Suara.com – The murder of the late, popular Mirna Salihin in 2016 made the perpetrator, Jessica Wongso, often called a psychopath. However, the National Police advisor denied this accusation when giving testimony at the trial.
Instead of having psychopathic traits, Jessica Wongso is said to suffer from a combination of two mental disorders, namely narcissism and emotionally unstable personality or borderline personality disorder. This was revealed by a criminologist who at that time also served as Advisor to the National Police Chief for Criminology, Ronny Rasman Nitibaskara. Ronny explained, based on the literature he read, there were 22 characteristics of a psychopath. However, Jessica only fulfills 4 of these 22 characteristics.
“I found he only had 4. But if scoring was carried out even by Hart’s theory in America with scanning and all that kind of thing, we would find out whether someone was a psychopath or not. I corrected him again, he was not a psychopath,” explained Ronny when testifying at the Central Newsdelivers.com District Court, Jl Bungur Besar Raya, Central Newsdelivers.com, on Thursday, September 1 2016.
From the results of his review, Ronny found that Jessica Wongo experienced a combination of narcissistic disorder and an emotionally unstable personality.

“Easily changeable, has a great need to be loved, but has little ability to maintain the relationship that is being built, doesn’t like being criticized, is sensitive, and so on,” explained Ronny.
Borderline personality disorder is known as the characteristics of always looking at those who hurt themselves, always remembering other people’s mistakes, and bringing up injuries.
Meanwhile, narcissism is also a mental health disorder. Quoted from Halodoc, people who suffer from narcissistic personality disorder feel that they are much more important than other people. Apart from that, they have a high need to be praised or proud. However, he has low empathy for other people.
Behind their high self-confidence, people with narcissistic personality disorder are actually fragile and easily collapse with just a little criticism.
It is not yet known for certain what causes someone to suffer from narcissistic disorder. However, this condition is thought to arise as a result of parenting errors, or several things that have happened before, such as violence, abandonment, pampering, or being praised too much.
