Suara.com – Manchester United suffered a humiliating defeat with a score of 0-1 when they hosted Crystal Palace at Old Trafford Stadium in the seventh week of the Premier League match. In the match which took place on Saturday night, the home team had to swallow the bitter pill after Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen’s only goal made the difference in the final score.
This defeat made Manchester United slip to 10th place in the Premier League standings, with only collecting 9 points from the seven matches they have played. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace rose to 9th place with 11 points.
Even though statistically, Manchester United dominated the match by recording 75 percent of ball possession and taking 18 kicks, only four of which were on target. However, unfortunately, nothing was able to result in a goal for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team.
From the first minute, MU showed the initiative to attack. However, Crystal Palace almost created a surprise when Marc Guehi fired in a dangerous header.

Rasmus Hojlund, Manchester United’s new striker, almost gave the Red Devils the lead, but the ball from his kick was saved by a Palace defender.
Disaster for Manchester United finally came in the 25th minute when Eberechi Eze’s free kick was met perfectly by Joachim Andersen, who managed to find the back of Andre Onana’s goal, making the score change to 1-0.
Behind one goal, MU continued to try to equalize. One of the dangerous moments came from Casemiro’s long-range shot which unfortunately went wide of the Palace goal.
When the second half started, MU continued to put pressure on Palace’s defense. Bruno Fernandes tried to kick a shot which was blocked by Palace goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.
Johnstone was again Palace’s savior when he managed to thwart Hojlund’s header.

Even though Manchester United continued to look for an equalizer until the final whistle of the match, the score remained 1-0 in favor of Palace.
