MOTEGI – Marc Marquez claims that he still feels uncomfortable riding the RC213V Honda motorbike in MotoGP 2023. This is because The Baby Alien is not in his comfort zone.
“I had a little more fun (in India). But I still don’t feel comfortable on the bike. I’m fast and I know how to ride a Honda. But it’s not easy for me to ride because I’m not in my comfort zone. I still can’t use my natural instinct,” said Marquez as quoted by Speedweek, Wednesday (27/9/2023).
Marquez himself said that the good results obtained by the Honda team in India were achieved because the characteristics of the circuit matched the current condition of the motorbike. As a result, he was able to secure the third podium in the Indian MotoGP sprint at the Buddh International Circuit.
This result made him return to the podium after last doing so in the first sprint series of the season in Portugal. Then, the Spanish star managed to finish in ninth position in the main race even though he was previously thrown down to 16th because he fell in the middle of the race.
Next, Marquez will fly to Japan to race at the Two Ring Motegi Circuit. This track is considered to have similar characteristics to the Buddh Circuit.
