President Joko Widodo’s youngest son, Kaesang Pangarep, decided to join the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI).
Interestingly, after he joined the party which was initially chaired by Giring Ganesha, two days later Kaesang Pangarep immediately became General Chair of PSI.
The declaration of Kaesang Pangarep as chairman of PSI was carried out on Monday (25/9/2023) at the PSI National Land Coffee at Djakarta Theater, Central Newsdelivers.com.
However, unlike the others, Kaesang Pangarep’s official speech attracted public attention.

This is because of the language style and also the mention of the names of his father, President Jokowi and his wife, Erina Gudono.
He also expressed his love for Erina Gudono.
“Thank you especially to my beloved wife. Without my wife’s blessing, I would not be standing here. “I love you so much, my dear wife,” said Kaesang Pangarep.
Apart from that, he mentioned Ena, an important point in his speech, including the reason why he entered politics.
According to Kaesang Pangarep he was inspired by his father.

“Frankly, I entered politics because I was inspired by my father. People I love very much and respect very much. I want to follow in his footsteps: doing politics for good. To you, I want to say: let me go my way, sir. “May Gusti Allah bless the path I have chosen,” he said.
However, what was even more surprising was that he also revealed Jokowi’s daily behavior at home.
He revealed that his father was far from a perfect human being, but he did not want to reveal it because he was afraid of power and danger.
“My father, who happens to be the President of Indonesia, is of course not a perfect human being. Even far from perfect. Especially if I “spill” his daily behavior at home. Wow, that could be really dangerous. My strength. What should be an example for me and ours from Pak Jokowi is that he never tires of carrying out the people’s mandate. The cure for tiredness is shaking hands with people. His tired vitamin was the smiles and happiness of the people he met during his visit. “The booster is when he decides on the right policies to help the community,” he explained.
Kaesang Pangarep said he wanted his generation to be more involved in public affairs and he believed politics was one of the best ways for young people to save the future.
