Even though his gold medal was the result of hard work, Aurel emotionally decided to present it to his parents, especially his mother. He also thanked Shindokan Maluku and Shindokan Indonesia for their support in his karateka journey.
Aurel managed to win in the final of the women’s beginner Kumite plus 47 category for ages 12-13 years. This fight was a special moment because he had to face his best friend, Andini. A fierce fight occurred between Aurel and Andini, and unfortunately, Aurel’s left finger was injured due to an accidental kick from Andini. However, this did not stop Aurel’s enthusiasm, and he continued to fight tenaciously. Finally, he managed to achieve a very meaningful victory in the match.
“I played my best in the match, especially when I had to play against my friend and best friend, Andini. It was difficult to separate my feelings, so I just focused on the match,” said Aurel enthusiastically.
