JAKARTA – As various events in the world become increasingly unusual, claims are emerging that the end of the world is near. There are even 3 signs that are said to be warning of the end of the world.
The Jews believe in these signs of the apocalypse. The teachings of other religions such as Islam are also almost the same. It is said that there are a number of signs of the apocalypse, both small and large.
The following are signs of the apocalypse that has occurred according to Jewish belief:
1. Birth of a red-skinned cow
The birth of the first red-skinned cow in 2,000 years in Israel is one of the triggers for claims that the end of the world is near. This creature is featured in end-time stories in both Christian and Jewish beliefs.
In 2018, a red heifer was born in Israel, and the Temple Institute announced the birth on YouTube. It was explained that the mother underwent extensive examination to determine if she was defect-free. Not only that, the birth of the calf made a group of people promise to return the purity of the Bible to the world.
The figure of the red heifer features in end-times stories because its birth and sacrifice supposedly preceded the construction of the Jewish faith’s Third Temple. According to Orthodox Judaism, the construction of this temple was planned before the coming of the Messiah. They also built the Third Temple on Mount Moirah or the Mouth of the Temple together with the Temple Institute and other organizations.
However, some theologians link the construction of the Third Temple to the Day of Judgment. The red calf was considered to be a depiction of the Biblical red heifer after extensive examination by rabbinical experts.
2. Life in the Dead Sea
Reporting from The Mirror, Saturday (23/9/2023), this news was followed by claims stating that fish and other forms of life were languishing in the Dead Sea.
According to the prediction of the Hebrew prophet, Ezekiel, the end of the world will be marked by the presence of sea water – a very salty environment, with a salinity of 37 percent that can become a living ecosystem.
A photojournalist from the Dead Sea Revival Project group Noam Bedein once shot an area of the Dead Sea waters. Around it there is a kind of trough, the lowest point on earth, with a number of living creatures in it.
The high salinity of the Dead Sea means that fish cannot live in it. However, recent reports indicate that marine life has been spotted in sinkholes in the sea, and scientists say that the area is quickly teeming with fish and other life forms.
3. Strange Snake Appears
The third incident that showed signs of the apocalypse was when a snake was recorded crawling out of the Jewish holy site, Israel’s Western Wall. The reptile interrupts prayers as it slithers along, and footage shows the snake scaring a dove.
The video clip sparked reactions from several people on the internet that the prophecy about the coming of the Messiah would soon be fulfilled. The Times of Israel reported that the snake slithered out of the walls’ rocks, most likely in an attempt to find winter prey.
However, some people argue that this is a symbol that humans are living in dangerous times, the time leading up to the coming of the Messiah. This incident is also associated with the Bible and the serpent that tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. This comes just months after a 110 kilogram stone fell from the Western Wall, almost crushing a pilgrim.
