Suara.com – Vidi Aldiano’s cancer has apparently spread to other organs. Sheila Dara’s husband shared the latest developments regarding his illness.
It was thought that he had recovered after undergoing surgery to remove cancer in Singapore in 2019, but apparently for the past three years Vidi Aldiano has still been battling cancer cells which have now spread to other organs.
“Another ‘spa day’ for me. Sorry but it’s going to be another long post. I’m entering my third year of being a ‘Cancer-warrior’. It’s rare to actually update things like this, but today I just feel like sharing, ” wrote Vidi on his Instagram @vidialdiano, Monday (18/9/2023).

Even so, the 33-year-old singer does not want to fall into the situation. Vidi is determined to continue to be enthusiastic about fighting his illness and is confident of making a full recovery.
It is known that the singer of the song Nuansa Bening was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney cancer around 2019. In the same year, Vidi decided to undergo surgery to remove cancer cells in Singapore.
The spread of cancer cells to other parts of the body, as happened to Vidi Aldiano, is also called metastasis. This condition usually occurs when the cancer has developed at a more advanced stage.
The spread of cancer cells is very dangerous because it can worsen the sufferer’s health condition. Even so, treatment can still be done to slow the growth of cancer.

Almost all types of cancer have the potential to metastasize, such as breast, prostate, lung, kidney and many more. However, its likelihood of metastasizing depends on a number of factors.
Quoted from Halodoc, metastases can occur in three ways, namely growing directly into the tissue around the cancer, cancer cells traveling through the bloodstream to distant locations in the body, and cancer cells traveling through the lymph system to nearby or distant lymph nodes .

Several areas of the body that are the most common locations for cancer to metastasize are usually the lungs, liver, bones and brain. However, these abnormal cells can also spread to the adrenal glands, lymph nodes, skin and other organs.
Metastasis also determines the stage of the cancer experienced by the sufferer. It depends on the type of cancer, but in most cases, cancer that has spread to distant organs can occur when it reaches stage IV. If the cancer spreads to nearby lymph nodes or other close tissue, it is generally stage III.
