BARCELONA – FC Barcelona’s spearhead, Robert Lewandowski, once thought about a career in Major League Soccer (United States League) rather than the Saudi Arabian League. The reason is, he is not interested in the Saudi Arabian League even though there are many world stars there.
This Polish player himself is still under a long-term contract with Barcelona. His contract at Camp Nou only expires in 2026.
Lewandowski emphasized that until now he had never been interested in the Saudi Arabian League. “Before the pandemic, I had a strong idea of going to MLS, then somehow I changed it,” said Lewandowski as quoted by Tuttomercato on Friday (15/9/2023).
The 35-year-old striker said that he himself was already comfortable with the Blaugrana – Barcelona’s nickname. Of course, this makes him continue to try to make his best contribution to Barcelona.
“I am very happy in Barcelona, my family too,” he said.
Lewandowski never thought about leaving Barcelona. He only focused on giving a good performance for his team. “I didn’t even think about it” he concluded.
