Suara.com – Member of Commission D DPRD DKI Newsdelivers.com, Hardiyanto Kenneth supports the installation of water mist sprayers, aka water mist generators, in Newsdelivers.com buildings. In fact, he urged the Acting Governor of DKI Heru Budi Hartono to immediately issue regulations.
Kenneth said, so far Heru and the DKI Provincial Government have only conveyed advice on installing this equipment in buildings with a height of 200 meters and above or eight floors. There are no binding regulations yet for building managers to comply with them.
“I see that Mr Acting is still giving an appeal. In my opinion, this appeal has no coercive power and is not absolute,” said Kenneth after the Commission D meeting in Puncak, West Java, Thursday (14/9/2023).
If Heru has issued mandatory regulations, then building managers are worried that they will be subject to sanctions or penalties if they do not comply with these regulations.

“The Acting Governor must make regulations in the form of binding Gubernatorial Regulations, so there are sanctions there, administrative sanctions or perhaps permit revocation or suspension,” he explained.
According to him, building managers should voluntarily install the equipment. Because the impact of air pollution is felt by the wider community and has become a shared responsibility.
“This entrepreneur is working to make a profit, so he must be willing and sincere to support us,” said Kenneth.
In the Commission D meeting, the DKI Environmental Service (DLH) said that installing a water mist generator would be one of the building safety standards. Kenneth also hopes that this plan will actually be implemented.
“I’m also happy, but I’m worried that the results of this meeting will just evaporate, there must be follow-up, there must be execution,” he said.
