The earth’s area is approximately 510 million square kilometers, with 65 percent still unexplored by humans. In other words, as Sentinent Media reports, the areas currently inhabited by modern humans are only a small part of the entire planet.
Centuries of exploration have not succeeded in revealing everything about the universe. Many places on earth are impossible to visit so what is there is still a mystery. Which locations are in question? Here are some of them:
1. Mariana Trench

The Mariana Trench is the world’s deepest ocean abyss known today. Based on the latest data in 2021, the depth reaches 10,935 meters below sea level. The bottom of this trough in the western Pacific Ocean is designated as the earth’s lowest point today.
Jacques Piccard and Don Walsh became the first explorers to reach the bottom of the Mariana Trench in 1960. It is said that this point is untouched by sunlight and the water pressure is very deadly. However, under extreme conditions, the existence of mud volcanoes on the seabed allows living creatures such as foraminifera to survive.
2. Pulau Queimada Grande (Pulau Ular)

Not because of extreme natural conditions, this island in Brazil is known to be very dangerous because it is known as a nest for poisonous snakes. If you dare to go there, your chances of survival are very low because every inch of land is filled with aggressive reptiles ready to attack.
Reporting from Holidify, on this island there are thousands of golden spear mura snakes which are known to be very venomous with 90 percent of bites resulting in death. It is so dangerous that the Brazilian government has declared visits to this island illegal.
3. Point Nemo

Point Nemo is a point in the South Pacific Ocean which is considered the furthest from anywhere. The closest land is 2,688 kilometers so this point is considered the most isolated location on planet Earth.
Even though it appears on the map, in reality this location is an invisible place in the middle of the ocean. Until now, no one has managed to get there, but several trips to the nearest point to Point Nemo describe this location as an area with weak ocean currents and extreme natural conditions that do not allow living creatures to survive.
4. Pulau Devon

Devon Island is an uninhabited area in Baffin Bay, Canadian Arctic Archipelago. Reporting from Amusing Planet, this location has natural conditions similar to the planet Mars. During winter, the land will be covered with ice that can be up to 700 meters thick.
Meanwhile, during summer, Devon Island will be free from ice for a maximum of 45 days, but the land is barren and does not allow living creatures to survive. Usually only NASA scientists and astronauts come here when the ice melts to conduct research.
5. North Sentinel Island

If Queimada Grande Island is considered dangerous because of poisonous snakes, then North Sentinel Island cannot be visited because of the presence of “primitive” humans there. Reporting from Holidify, this island, which is located in the Andaman Islands, Bay of Bengal, India, is inhabited by a group of people called Sentinelese who are very unfriendly to newcomers.
The Sentinelese are thought to have existed on the island for 30,000 years and refuse to have contact with the outside world. Several times migrants tried to reach them, but were ultimately killed by residents. Because it is considered dangerous, the Indian government prohibits visits to North Sentinel Island.
6. Pulau Surtsey

Surtsey Island is located off the southern coast of Iceland and is considered one of the youngest islands in the world. This land was formed over four years due to a volcanic eruption in 1963 to 1963. The formation of this island attracted the attention of scientists who even started setting foot while the fire was still burning.
This location is not open to the public because the soil is only made of volcanic material so there are concerns that it will endanger visitors. The soil structure is also considered not very strong because erosion is going fast, so it is predicted that Surtsey will not last long on the earth. Apart from that, access restrictions are implemented to preserve the island.
7. Darien Gap

The Darien Gap is a long tropical forest location that separates Colombia and Panama, with an area of approximately 107 kilometers and a length of 48,000 kilometers. Not only is this the longest road on earth, this forest is also one of the deadliest locations for humans.
There are many deadly animals and various diseases that lurk anyone who steps foot here. Plus, there are no detours except by sea. Once inside, you have to walk to the end.
8. Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda Triangle is one of the most mysterious and frightening locations in the world because dozens of ships and planes disappeared without a trace while passing through this area. The location itself is in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean, with three endpoints respectively in Bermuda, Puerto Rico and Miami.
Many scientists have tried to solve what actually happened in the Bermuda Triangle, but in the end they can only provide predictions. The most believed cause is the existence of underwater currents and typhoons which often appear suddenly in this area. Even though it makes your skin crawl, the area around the Bermuda Triangle is full of beautiful tourist attractions.
These are some of the places on earth that are impossible to visit because they are considered dangerous and mysterious. Apart from the list above, there are many other locations that are still almost impossible to be touched by humans for various reasons.
