Suara.com – The Proper Council of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) Agus Pambagio believes that there is a special purpose for the Center for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA) to open a study of Newsdelivers.com’s air pollution. He said the purpose was related to selling products that can prevent air pollution.
“I reminded you some time ago. CREA has an agenda setting for sales by presenting studies on air pollution,” said Agus, quoted on Thursday (14/9/2023).
Agus said that the issue of air pollution arose after Indonesia signed the energy transition packaged with JETP at the G20 event yesterday.
“JETP, which consists of developed countries, including Finland and Sweden, promised US$ 200 million to Indonesia. But where is the proof? There isn’t any,” he added.

For example, the circulation of images submitted by an institution called CREA which appeared to be satellite monitoring, but it turned out to be a hoax because it was suspected that the images were only modeling which was reported as if they were valid sensor or satellite measurements, even though they were not.
“This news is misleading for ordinary people who are not aware of the use of satellite technology. There are many more institutions that pretend to be research, but in fact they are equipment or software manufacturers and want their products to be purchased by the Indonesian government,” he said.
Agus also added that there were several people who asked him not to have an opinion on the air pollution study released by CREA.
“Some people called me not to talk about it. But for me, there is something that needs to be straightened out about this air pollution issue. I’m not afraid. I’m talking as it is,” he explained.
