Suara.com – The potential of fisheries and marine resources in the Jayanti Beach area, Cianjur Regency, West Java has not been fully explored due to limited infrastructure for fishermen.
This complaint was conveyed to the Young Alumni of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Padjadjaran University (Unpad) and Indonesian Education University (UPI) who are members of the Ganjartivity volunteer group.
“We are currently visiting Jayanti Beach in the Cianjur Regency area. We are inviting dialogue with the fishermen here. There are 130 communities where in one community there are 10 people, meaning there are 1,300 fishermen here,” said Ganjartivity Chairman, Dicky Fauzia, written Monday (11 /9/2023).
The local fishermen welcomed the arrival of Ganjar Pranowo’s volunteers because they could dialogue with academics to discuss their problems.

Dicky said that the aspirations received from fishermen and local residents would later be conveyed to Ganjar Pranowo as input for his programs as a presidential candidate.
“So, the fishermen were complaining. Here, the pier is not suitable for parking their boats and here many people are asking for help with their boats and fishing equipment,” he said.
To the fishermen they met, Ganjartivity volunteers ensured that Ganjar Pranowo would pay attention to them as he did when he served as Governor of Central Java for the last two terms.
Ganjar’s support for fishermen is proven by the Fishermen’s Insurance Program (Asnel) which has protected around 151,457 small-scale fishermen with Fisherman’s Insurance Premium Assistance (BPAN).
“We also introduced the figure of Pak Ganjar, where Pak Ganjar was also very good at leading fishermen in Central Java (during his time as Governor of Central Java),” said Dicky.

In this way, he believes that fishermen in the Cianjur Regency area, especially Jayanti Beach, can accept and even support Ganjar to become the next President of the Republic of Indonesia.
