Present in two seasons and one special edition film, namely Kingdom: Ashin of The North, Kingdom is a Netflix original Korean drama that carries the horror and thriller genre, and features elements of sageuk (set in the kingdom of South Korea).
The story begins with Lee Chang (Ju Je Hoon), a crown prince who wants to know the whereabouts of his father who is reportedly seriously ill. Instead of being able to meet and find out about his father, he was faced with a zombie virus outbreak that attacked his citizens.
Where the father also turns into a zombie. Lee Chang began to find out the origin of the virus until he finally met a healer named Seo Bi (Bae Doona), who was also looking for the origin of the virus.
They finally worked together to find out the origin of the virus and how to prevent its spread. In the midst of their search, they also discovered several facts about fraud committed by royal people in order to gain the king’s throne and its connection to the spread of the zombie virus.

Presenting a revenge story with the psychological thriller genre, this drama with two seasons managed to win many awards and received a rating of 8.1 on the IMDB site.
Tells the story of Moon Dong Eun (Song Hye Kyo), a woman who was a victim of bullying when she was in high school by Park Yeon Jin (Lim Ji Yeon) and her friends.
Growing up, Moon Dong Eun wanted to take revenge against the perpetrators of the bullying, by starting to disguise herself as a teacher at Park Yeon Jin’s child’s school. Slowly but surely, every perpetrator of bullying gets revenge that they never thought possible before.
3. Squid Game

Being one of Netflix’s most phenomenal original Korean dramas, Squid Game has succeeded in bringing ‘Squid Game Fever’ to various countries. This series also received a rating of 8.0 based on the IMDB site.
Carrying the thriller genre, Squid Game tells the story of a ‘death’ game with prizes of tens of millions of Won which are contested by 456 participants. Unfortunately, there will only be one winner and they must defeat the other participants, even if their lives are at stake.
In the middle of the game, various moments occurred. Starting from meeting new friends, developing strategies to win while protecting lives, to betrayal.
Not only has it won awards domestically, Squid Game has also won many awards internationally. Additionally, it has been confirmed that Squid Game will return with a second season.
4. All of Us Are Dead

Another Netflix original Korean drama that presents a zombie theme, namely All of Us Are Dead. This 12 episode drama achieved a rating of 7.5 based on the IMDB site.
The story begins when the zombie virus spreads at Hyosan High School, where the virus was created by one of the teachers who wanted to give ‘power’ to his son. But who would have thought, the virus actually turned the son into a zombie and started biting other students.
A group of students from class 2 – 1 of Hyosan High School unite their strengths to protect each other and survive the pursuit of zombies, where they are also trapped in the school area. They also tried to find a way out so as not to be surrounded by zombies.
First releasing its first season in 2022, this series will return with its second season, Beauties. Let’s look forward to it, OK!
5. Mask Girl

Being one of the newest Netflix original Korean dramas released in 2023, Mask Girl presents the crime, thriller and dark comedy genres and received a rating of 7.4 on the IMDB site.
Mask Girl tells the story of Kim Mo Mi, played by four different actresses, namely Lee Han Byeol, Jin Nana, Go Hyun Jung, and Ji Ji Ahn. This woman often feels insecure about her facial appearance, even though she has a great desire to appear on stage and be the center of attention.
In the end, Kim Mo Mi, who is an ordinary office worker, has another identity as ‘Mask Girl’. Namely a livestreamer with a slender body and hiding his face behind a mask.
Kim Mo Mi’s life changed 180 degrees when her office colleague, Joo Oh Nam (Ahn Jae Hong) found out the woman’s true identity. Kim Mo Mi is also involved in tense tension involving murder and the terror she faces until she becomes a mother.
