Everton recruited Norberto Gomes alias Beto from Udinese. Quoting from theguardian.com, Everton paid a dowry of 26 million pounds sterling or IDR 501 billion. Beto is under contract for four seasons.
Previously, during two seasons in the Italian Serie A league, this 25 year old striker scored 21 goals in 61 matches in Serie A.

With a height of 195 cm and good ability in the air, Beto is projected as a suitable companion for striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin who has been the spearhead of The Toffees.
Everton tried to bring Beto in January 2023, but failed. So when the second offer came, Beto no longer hesitated. “When a club like Everton tried to sign me in January and again in the summer, I felt ‘OK, they do want me,’ so it was an easy choice. My idol, Samuel Eto’o, also played here, who makes this transfer feel even more special,” explained Beto.

With courage, self-confidence and enthusiasm, Beto is confident that he will be the player that suits Everton’s needs.
Since childhood, Beto always believed he would become a professional footballer. Even when he was 18 years old and playing for amateur club Uniao Tires in the fifth tier of Portuguese football, while working at the fast food restaurant KFC, he was sure he would make his dream come true.
Beto was almost called up to the Portugal national team at the start of the Euro 2024 qualifiers, but it was canceled because coach Roberto Martinez still remains loyal to the players who played for Portugal in the 2022 World Cup.
However, it is predicted that Martinez will need new faces in the international break in the next few months. Beto is a name that is often called.
For this reason, this 25 year old striker wants to first prove his sharpness in the Premier League.

“Maybe it’s a dream that is too far-fetched, but anything is possible,” Beto told goal.com, Wednesday (30/8).
