Suara.com – The survey institute Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC) conducted an opinion poll regarding allegations of corruption in the Formula E electric car racing event which is being investigated by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). As a result, some 20 percent of respondents were aware of the existence of the investigation.
SMRC founder, Saiful Mujani said, from those who know, 47 percent believe there was indeed corruption in organizing the car race. Meanwhile, 36 percent of them were unsure and 17 percent did not answer.
“Of those who are sure that corruption occurred in the Formula E event, 65 percent are sure that Anies Baswedan as the governor of DKI Newsdelivers.com is involved in the case. 28 percent are not sure and 7 percent don’t answer,” said Saiful in a virtual press conference, Thursday (31/ 8/2023).
Furthermore, SMRC also investigated the impact of this case on the Presidential Election (Pilpres).

“Of those who know about the case, 39 percent voted for Ganjar, 31 percent for Prabowo, 23 percent for Anies, and 7 percent did not answer,” he said.
While those who did not know, 35 percent chose Ganjar, 34 percent Prabowo, 20 percent Anies, and 11 percent did not answer.
Saiful stated that the level of public knowledge in this case had no effect on the electability of the candidates.
Meanwhile, of those who believe that there is corruption in the implementation of Formula E in DKI Newsdelivers.com, 49 percent chose Ganjar, 32 percent Prabowo, 14 percent Anies, and 6 percent did not answer.
“In contrast, those who were not sure, 36 percent chose Anies, 29 percent Prabowo, 27 percent Ganjar, and 7 percent did not answer,” he concluded.

For information, this survey analyzed 4,260 respondents from the population in each province. The margin of error for a survey with this sample size nationally is estimated to be +/- 1.65 percent at a 95 percent confidence level using simple random sampling assumptions.
