SUARA SEMARANG — David da Silva and 4 other Persib Bandung players will certainly not take to the field to face RANS Nusantara in the 2023/2024 League 1 continuation match at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBL), Saturday (26/8/2023).
David da Silva was seen attending training with the team nicknamed Maung Bandung, Thursday (24/8/2023) and is rumored to be returning to compete.
Apparently, David did not play. The injury he suffered required him to miss the home game this time.
“David was absent. He started training yesterday, but was not ready to compete,” said Persib coach Bojan Hodak as quoted from Persib’s official website.

Bojan Hodak also admitted that he had not decided who would replace David da Silva in tomorrow’s match.
Apart from David, four other names were also forced to step aside. I Putu Gede Juni Antara still has to serve his suspension from playing.
Meanwhile, Beckham Putra and Robi Darwis are still with the Indonesian national team in the AFF U-23 Cup competition.
Goalkeeper Teja Paku Alam also missed the game due to an injury to his left hand which has not fully recovered.
In addition to incomplete players, Persib is also overshadowed by the opponent’s defense line which is considered strong.

However, Bojan Hodak remains optimistic that he can bring three points in this match.
“It could be that there are not many goals that will be created, but we will play at home and want to win. Something we have never done this year. I hope we can do everything to win in tomorrow’s match,” said the coach from Croatia. ***
