Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, the Hollywood stars who rekindled their romance and married two decades after a sensational split, are divorcing, according to several media reports.
Lopez filed for divorce in a Los Angeles court on Tuesday, TMZ reported. The news comes two years after the couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in the state of Georgia.
They were officially married in July 2022 in Las Vegas. Spokespeople for actors Lopez and Affleck did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
In the early 2000s, the duo named “Bennifer” were the most talked about couple in the world of Hollywood. They abruptly called off their wedding in 2003 and split a few months later.
Lopez married singer Marc Anthony, her third husband, just five months after splitting from Affleck in 2004.
Affleck then married and after a few years divorced actress Jennifer Garner.
Lopez and Affleck tied the knot again in 2021. Lopez stated that “20 years later, we have a happy ending.”
