As in previous years, the 79th Indonesian Independence Day commemoration ceremony in Washington DC, involved Indonesian diaspora youth as the Flag Raising Troops. This year, they were not only trained by the Defense Attaché staff, but also by retired flag raisers from Tomohon and Merauke.
