World Central Kitchen (WCK), a US-based non-governmental organization, said that a Palestinian member of its staff was killed in Gaza on Wednesday (7/8),
The incident came four months after seven of its staff were killed in an Israeli strike that drew widespread condemnation.
WCK identified the person as Nadi Sallout, and said in a post on X that he was “an integral member of our warehouse team since the early days of our response in Rafah, and a man of great humanity.”
The organization said it was still studying the details of the incident, but it believed he was off-duty at the time. He was killed near Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza, it added.
Previously, three Israeli airstrikes hit an aid convoy crossing Gaza on April 1, killing seven WCK staff, including citizens of the United States, Australia, Britain and Poland.
Israel denies allegations that it deliberately targets aid workers. (th/ab)
