The police announced on Tuesday that two women lost their lives in Albania as a result of violence by their husbands.
According to official police sources, in Vlora, 64-year-old Hati Deliaj could not survive the numerous wounds caused by the violence of her 70-year-old husband Úngjëllush Deliaj, while in Shala, Saranda, 66-year-old Shano Islamaj was killed with an ax by her husband. her Huso Islamaj, 69 years old.
Local sources in Vlora said that 64-year-old Hati Deliaj was hospitalized after having a broken jaw and other signs of violence from her husband.
While the murder of the woman in Saranda, according to the police, is suspected to have happened during a conflict for weak motives and then the citizen Huso Islamaj also lost his life after conflicting with his son who, according to the police, allegedly pushed him by throwing him down the stairs of the apartment.
Although the punishments have been toughened and the courts have handed down life sentences for the murderers of women, this crime has not decreased.

According to official data, in 2023 there were 5,064 cases of domestic violence reported to the police, and 2,730 cases were treated with protection orders.
