General Chairman of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Billiard Sports Association (PB POBSI), Hary Tanoesoedibjo will galvanize the soft skills of billiard athletes. Because, a strong mentality is also needed when competing, especially in international events.
Hary Tanoe said this at the PB POBSI 2023 National Conference (Munas) at the Lido Lake Resort Hotel, Bogor Regency, Monday (11/12/2023). “No less important is developing the soft skills of athletes. Because I noticed that even though they play well, when they compete internationally, they sometimes get nervous,” said Hary Tanoe.
He said, playing billiards requires high concentration. So a strong athlete’s mentality is needed in every competition.
“Billiards is a ball, right? If you’re nervous you can’t miss it even a little,” he said.
Therefore, soft skills development is also needed by billiard athletes. Apart from that, technical skills are also taught in the game of billiards.
“So the soft skills, we strengthen them, sometimes we often forget that we train the technical skills, but we also need to hone the soft skills, mental strength,” concluded Hary Tanoe.
For your information, Hary Tanoesoedibjo was re-elected as General Chair of PB POBSI for the 2023-2027 period at the PB POBSI National Conference at the Lido Lake Resort Hotel, Bogor Regency. The National Conference was also attended and opened directly by the Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo.
