Kaesang Pangarep has long been known as the son of President Joko Widodo. Apart from his status, he is a businessman who is quite poor across Indonesia.
He has tried various businesses. One of the most famous is Sang Pisang, a culinary business that focuses on processed foods made from bananas.
Just like other business people, he also experiences ups and downs. The proof is that there were several Kaesang businesses that did not sell and were eventually forced to close down.
What Kaesang businesses went bankrupt?
Kaesang, who went to barista school, developed the Ternakopi business with his older brother, Gibran Rakabuming, in May 2012. Ternakopi sells contemporary coffee products that use coffee beans from various regions in the archipelago.
Before the Covid-19 pandemic, Ternakopi had around 40 stores spread across several regions in Indonesia. However, Kaesang admitted that this business had closed due to not many customers.
“Yesterday, before the pandemic, we actually had almost 40 outlets, but after the pandemic, they all disappeared. How come? They didn’t sell,” said Kaesang, quoted by CNN Indonesia.
Kaesang released the Madhang application to bridge mothers who are good cooks with buyers on December 11 2017. This application is claimed to be successful in helping many housewives to become financially independent.
This business, which collaborated with Dian Nuswantoro University, Semarang, is no longer operating. In the last upload on February 22 2022, many users were seen questioning the existence of the application.
“Please don’t get the funds in my application back. The application can’t be opened, the DM on IG is never answered, the CS contact on WA is also inactive, the website doesn’t exist. What’s wrong with my money in the application and it’s not coming back. Please, @madhang. id,” wrote one Instagram user, @ttresure_tangsel.
