JAKARTA – Iran’s Deylaman warship has officially entered service with the Navy. Interestingly, this inauguration took place when tensions between Iran and the United States were increasing in the Mediterranean Sea.
Iran’s Mehr news agency reported that a number of Tehran officials also attended the inauguration of the Deylaman ship. Some of them include Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi (Army Commander), Rear Admiral Shahram Irani (Navy Commander), and Mohammad Hossein Bagheri (Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces).

Specifications of the Iranian Deylaman Warship
Deylaman is a type of destroyer that Iran has just inaugurated to operate in its naval sector. This ship is claimed to carry a series of the latest equipment that can increase its capabilities.
Quoting EurAsian Times, Wednesday (29/11/2023), Deylaman is the latest version of the ‘Jamaran’ destroyer. In its design, this warship incorporates many aspects that have been modernized.
Deylaman itself is named after a city in northern Iran. This ship weighs around 1,400 tons.
Then, Deylaman is estimated to have a length of 95 meters and a width of 11 meters. One of the capabilities of this destroyer is that it can launch torpedoes at a speed of 30 knots.
Apart from that, there is one other interesting thing that Deylaman has. This Iranian ship is reportedly capable of detecting more than 100 target objects simultaneously.
