Suara.com – The General Election Commission (KPU) has begun preparing topics for the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) debate session. KPU Chairman Hasyim Asyari said that his party would invite a number of parties, including academics and journalists.
Academics and journalists were invited by the KPU to discuss the mechanisms for presidential and vice presidential debates.
Hasyim said that the KPU would start discussions on Wednesday (29/11/2023).
“Starting from academics, government, journalists, NGOs and civil society,” said Hasyim at the KPU Building, Newsdelivers.com, Tuesday (28/11/2023).
Hasyim explained that the meeting was held to finalize the debate mechanism and discuss topics that had been stipulated in the Election Law.
In addition, they will discuss debate methods, including duration and other aspects.
After that, the KPU will invite teams from each presidential and vice presidential candidate to present the results of the discussion.
This is done by the KPU to ensure that when preparing questions or formulating problems that will become material for debate, everything has been properly confirmed.
