The profile of Kevin Ray Mendoza, Persib Bandung’s new goalkeeper, seems interesting to review. Moreover, the goalkeeper from the Philippines is estimated to have a market value of IDR 4.35 billion.
Today, Tuesday (28/11/2023), Persib announced Kevin’s arrival via X’s social media account, formerly Twitter (@persib). In his upload, Maung Bandung posted a poster of Kevin Ray Mendoza wearing the Persib goalkeeper jersey.
“Kevin Ray Mendoza will add strength to the #PERSIB goalkeeper post. Welcome Kevin,” the post wrote.
Before Kevin Ray Mendoza joined, Persib was recorded as having four goalkeepers. They are Teja Paku Alam, Fitrul Rustapa, Reky Rahayu, and Sheva Sanggasi.

Kevin Ray Mendoza is the goalkeeper for the Malaysian club, Kuala Lumpur City FC. It is not yet known how much Persib spent to bring Kevin Ray Mendoza to the Maung Bandung squad.
However, the Transfermarkt page states that the market value for Kevin Ray Mendoza is IDR 4.35 billion, the highest price for the 29 year old goalkeeper during his career. Kevin Ray Mendoza started his football career as a goalkeeper at the Danish club, Viborg FF Youth.
In the 2010/2011 season, Kevin entered a higher team, FK Viborg U19. In the next few seasons, his football career began to develop. Some of the clubs he has played for are Viborg FF, Kjellerup IF, Ringkobing IF, Thisted FC, AC Horsens, HB Koge, Vendsyssel FF, and finally Kuala Lumpur City FC.
Kevin Ray Mendoza himself is a player for the Philippine National Team. While defending his country in international matches, Kevin Ray Mendoza was recorded as having participated in five matches involving the Philippine National Team, namely the AFC Asian Cup, Asian Cup Qualification, International Friendlies, World Cup Qualification, and the 2018 South East Championship.
In all these matches, there were several matches that he did not play. Kevin Ray Mendoza was only used to guard goal when the Philippine National Team competed in trial matches, World Cup Qualifications and the 2018 AFF Cup. In total, he appeared in seven matches with a total playing time of 584 minutes.
