The viral cyanide coffee murder case that caused Mirna Salihin to die is still being discussed.
Otto Hasibuan, Jessica Wongso’s attorney, has now reappeared to discuss the case which made headlines in various media in 2016.
In his statement this time, Otto Hasibuan revealed new allegations regarding Edi Darmawan, father of the late Mirna Salihin, who was suspected of hiding evidence.
According to Otto Hasibuan, Edi Darmawan’s action was a violation of the law. Because according to Otto, hiding evidence could have fatal consequences.
“There are allegations that evidence was hidden or removed,” said Otto Hasibuan in a video circulating on YouTube.
“This was clearly seen on TV shows, which we saw. Well, if there is CCTV like this that is hidden, if it is removed it means it is a violation of the law,” he added.
Otto then discussed the issue of the punishment for hiding evidence in the form of CCTV which had fatal consequences in the future.
“Anyone who hides evidence like this is violating the law, because the consequences are fatal. As a result, hiding this item could result in someone being sentenced to 20 years like Jessica Wongso,” he added.
“It could be that if there was CCTV, if it wasn’t hidden, Jessica Wongso was actually innocent, but because it was hidden, it wasn’t shown on CCTV, so the CCTV would automatically be incomplete,” he concluded.
