SURABAYA – Persebaya Surabaya has officially loaned its foreign midfielder, Ze Valente for the remainder of the 2023-2024 Liga 1 season. Starting Tuesday (21/11/2023), the player from Portugal will play for Persik Kediri until June 2024.
The news of the loan was officially announced by Persebaya via its official Instagram account, @officialpersebaya. This agreement has also been reached with the player.
“Persebaya, Persik and Ze Valente have reached an agreement to loan the player from Portugal. Persebaya would like to thank Valente for his contribution so far,” said Persebaya in the upload statement.
As is known, the name Ze Valente is quite popular among the Indonesian football public. He has had a career in League 1 since 2022 with PSS Sleman.
The 29 year old footballer is also the son of Arema FC head coach, Fernando Valente. Fernando himself was recruited by Arema since last August.
Ze Valente’s move to Persik was a new experience for the player. While playing for Persebaya, he has collected 6 goals and 9 assists from 29 appearances in all competitions.
This record is considered much better in Valente’s career in Indonesia. While still in the PSS Sleman uniform, he only recorded 2 goals and 3 assists from his 18 caps.
