Suara.com – GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show or GIIAS 2023 Bandung will take place 22-26 November 2023. As the finale of the GIIAS 2023 The Series, excitement awaits visitors. Namely, a special gift from the West Java Provincial Government or West Java Provincial Government.
Quoted from the Antara news agency, the West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) is ready to issue a relaxation policy in the form of a discount on Transfer of Title Fees for First Ownership Motor Vehicles (BBNKB I) during the GIIAS automotive exhibition in Bandung.
“This is a form of our support and appreciation for the choice of the City of Bandung as one of the hosts for this GIIAS event,” explained Bey Triadi Machmudin, Acting Governor of West Java at the Road to the 30th GIIAS press conference at Gedung Sate, Bandung, Saturday (18 /11/2023).

This support is not without reason, because the contribution of motor vehicle tax and motor vehicle title transfer fees in West Java is the largest regional revenue.
“That is around 44.22 percent of total regional income, and 63.75 percent of total regional original income,” he continued.
Through the GIIAS 2023 event, Bey Triadi Machmudin hopes that this automotive exhibition will have a positive impact on the economy, including employment, as well as being an educational opportunity for the younger generation, apart from further developing the automotive industry ecosystem in West Java through increasing vehicle sales.

Regarding the automotive sector, West Java has several Vocational High Schools (SMK) majoring in automotive, some of which are starting to work on electric vehicle engines.
“We hope that this GIIAS exhibition will also update young people’s knowledge in the automotive sector, so that they don’t miss out on rapidly advancing technological developments,” said Bey Triadi Machmudin.
Therefore, he specifically asked the GIIAS organizers to involve automotive vocational school students in Bandung, so that students could learn directly about technological developments in the automotive sector.
“I hope that later the committee can invite several automotive vocational schools to attend directly to see this GIIAS exhibition, so that they know how fast technology is and they can also anticipate developments in automotive technology,” he asked.
In addition to conveying the relaxation policy in the form of a discount on Transfer of Title Fees for First Ownership Motor Vehicles (BBNKB I) during the GIIAS automotive exhibition in Bandung, during the Road to the 30th GIIAS activity in Gedung Sate a fuel voucher distribution program was launched for motor vehicle taxpayers, in collaboration with PT Pertamina.
